How ABS FC trampled Enyimba International Fc

Three unreplied goals from Stone Evbuomwan, Ichull Lordson and Sala Abiodun was all that Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) outfit, Abubarka Bukola Saraki Football Club (ABS FC) needed to suffer six-time league Champions, Enyimba of Aba on Wednesday in Match Day 16 of the number one league in Nigeria.

The first 45 minutes of the cracker witnessed heavy downpour as the gate of heaven was opened on both side but it was ABS FC who tapped into the shower of blessing as they opened the scoresheet after 23 minutes of intensive play through Stone Evbuomwan when the young lad flicked in a header from Thomas Zenke free-kick, the first half ended with Saraki Boys with one goal.

However, two players from Enyimba were yellow carded after ABS FC got the opener.

The Peoples’Elephant gave a good account of themselves in the second half as they put up brilliant performance but their hope of levelling the game was halted when Ajibola Otegbeye was brought down in the box by Enyimba goalkeeper in the 70th minute, ABS FC leading top scorer took his goal haul to four as he converted the spot kick, three minutes later, Sala Abiodun got third goal of the day when he took the game beyound The Aba Warriors as he banked on a solo-effort.Last season in the same fixture, ABS beat Enyimba by 3-1.

By virtue of this victory ABS now have 19 points from 16 matches, while the visitors Enyimba, have 22 points from 16 game points from 16 games.

Ichull Lordson, who spoke with confidence before the game with optimism that his side will crush Enyimba says “we are so happy and we hope to win more games away from home so as to leave the position we are now because we did not belong there.
