League Management Committee (LMC) on the 2nd of September, took a disciplinary measure as they sactioned Kwara United Football Club of Ilorin, following their abandoned match at the Kwara State Stadium against Warri Wolves on Saturday, August 31.
After 45 minutes of play in Ilorin over the weekend, it was reported that the second Assistant Referee felt unsecured and refused to come out for the second half proceeding of the match and when another Assistant Referee was arranged to continue the game, the visiting team Warri Wolves, could not carry on with the game at about 6pm on Saturday, despite the floodlights being on.
On Monday, September, 2. The Organising and Disciplinary committee of the Nigeria Football Federation(NFF) decided upon by the Executive members of the Federation led by NFF President Aminu Maigari, Anyasi Agwu, Ahmed Fresh, Chris Green and Leye Adepoju in Abuja, took the final decision that the said match, Kwara Utd vs Warri Wolves, must be re-played in Abuja on Thursday, 5th of September, 2013.
Inaddition, the committee also sanctioned Kwara United to play its remaining home games behind closed door with a 5 million naira fine, and with the mandate that Kwara Football Association (K.F.A) must produce the culprits for prosecution within seven days or risk barring all Glo Premier League matches at Ilorin.
