We Will Gold For Eko Football Festival Team.

Bolowotan Football club of Ikorodu players are optimistic to win Gold in the 18th National Sports Festival tagged Eko 2012, as the duo of Ochuko Jacob and Shola Bussa look forward to make the team that will be doing battle for the Eko Football Festival team.

Both players contributed immensely for Bolowotan’s promotion into the Nigeria National League (NNL) from the Nigeria Nation-wide League last season.

Last season in the Nation-wide league, the goal poacher, Ochuko Jacob scored a total number of nine goals in thirteen appearances, he notched three goals in four matches in Lagos State F.A Cup 2012 , and six goals in nine matches in the Amateur league.

Shola Bussa on the other hand is a defensive Midfielder, who has got energy, and deadly passes, whose  defensive ability has earned him a call-up into the Eko Football Festival  team.

The two players expressed their profound gratitudes towards the Lagos State Government and the organizers.

“I must thank the Lagos State Government for this event which has become a success even before the kick off date” and also the organizers who has deemed it fit to give us a chance to prove ourselves, we promised to put a smile on the faces of Lagosians and all sport lovers in the state” by lifting the trophy in the football category of the sports festival” says Ochuko.

Shola Bussa says” the organizers are putting everything in places to ensure that we win the trophy and we can not afford to dissapoint them”.

Bolowotan coach, Samuel Olofu  believed that his boys will not dissapoint him. He says” Ochuko is an attacker who can play and offensive role and as well as the top man, he has got skills, he can tear any defence apart if care is not taking”,

“Shola is a team mover, despite the fact that he plays a defence role yet you see him launching attacks, and he wins the ball alot, he has got power and energy that can last for over 90 minutes,” when you put all of these qualities together you will agree with me that they will make me proud at the end of the day”.
